Kauai Here We Come

With only two sleeps left I am almost too excited to get things packed in the right suitcase and will probably take too much of what I don't need and leave a very important item at home. But you know what; I don't care - all will be well.  Worrying is not my forte, so let the fun begin. 

This has been a dream since Liz told me some 20 years ago; "Mom, you would love Hawaii". Well here I come, thanks to a lot of wonderful people most of whom are our kids. It will be great fun travelling with Denzle and Gayle and worry free because of the generosity of the kids at Christmas. Thank you, your kindness is soooooo appreciated by us both. 

I have read everything I could get my hands on about Kauai, ( left the rest of the islands for others to explore and enjoy) and as the days go by I hope I can share this journey with you through stories and pictures. I have enjoyed other friends' blogs as they journey and hope I do this justice. If a few of you get a bit of joy from our travels it will be worth it. 

We leave Edmonton Airport  at 6:40 am Sunday and will arrive at 1:05 pm in Lihue. Stay tuned; same place, same station in a couple of days.
